Our Work
We believe women are the engine of resilient economies.
By investing in them, we can spark ripple effects that reach far beyond business: education, health, dignity, and growth.
Our Approach
CRECER was born as a partnership model. We join forces with trusted local organizations who know their communities best. Together, we create the space for women-led businesses to grow, ensuring that impact is deeply rooted locally while reaching far beyond.
Building Partnerships
We partner with trusted local organizations in Guatemala and Colombia with whom we’ve worked for over a decade.
Empowerment
We finance empowerment programs that combine training, mentoring, and access to capital.
We strengthen the capacity of our local partners by investing in their upskilling for impact investing.
Exchange
We build a community of practice and a South–South learning exchange between women-led initiatives.
Our Story
In 2009, our founder established Vision Guatemala to support indigenous women in building their own micro-enterprises. Together with local communities, she co-developed an empowerment model that combined practical training, coaching, and access to micro-finance.
Today, Vision Guatemala operates fully independently and entirely separate from its Swiss founder. Each year, it finances more than 700 small ventures through a locally run credit fund. Every board and management member is a graduate of the program — women who built their own businesses and now lead the organization.
The success and sustainability of this community-led model continue to inspire CRECER’s mission: advancing locally rooted, self-sustaining development.
